An incredible and rare table from the legendary Rose Tarlow. The Wan Li table is inspired by 18th and 19th-century Chinese furniture exported to the Western market. Made in the traditional coromandel manner, the table is richly lacquered and decorated with a gold chinoiserie motif in gold with flora and fauna. Bowed legs with striking upturned swan-head feet and a sumptuous wide apron support the rectangular tray top. The table features a pull-out drawer for light storage.
A photocopy of the original archival catalogue sheet from 1985 will be included.
Per the artist who did the artwork for this table, only around 5 or so Wan Li tables were produced, and it was one of the first reproduction antiques manufactured by Rose Tarlow.
This table has been professionally restored and is in flawless condition.
A rare, collectible, and exceptional piece in a classic Rose Tarlow style no longer in production from this covetable designer for the discerning buyer.
