An intricately woven flower display basket used for Sencha tea ceremonies. With an undulating rim and wide network of delicate bamboo strips creating a six-pointed star at the base. Covered with a fine thin coat of lacquer, the basket holds a red lacquered bamboo vase for flowers. The basket is signed by the artist, Chikusen, on the bottom.
