This mizusashi is an exquisite water vessel used in traditional Japanese tea ceremonies. Crafted from bizen stoneware during the late Edo period, it boasts a unique reddish hue and unglazed surface, characteristic of the Bizen region in Okayama Prefecture. Adorned with Hidasuki (fire stripe) and Goma (sesame seed) effects, these natural characteristics add to its rustic, reddish-brown appearance and wabi-sabi aesthetic. Topped with a wajima lacquer lid, it is a prized collector's item and equally suitable for daily use.
