A set of 5 porcelain plates from the Edo period. Made in China for export to the Japanese market, they feature a distinct Arita aesthetic appealing to the Japanese. Deep cobalt designs over a white slip, the plates are striking in their simplistic design and depth of color. Each is displayed on a custom mount. The collection would be fabulous on a console or sofa table, gracing a bookshelf, or dining credenza. The plates may be removed from the stands for use.
